Obituary of Roger B. Lipham

Funeral services for Roger B. Lipham, age 73, of Wedowee will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015, at 2:00 PM from Jordan Chapel Cong. Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Johnson and Rev. Brian Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, and from 8:00 AM-8:00 PM on Thursday, May 21, 2015. Mr. Lipham passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. Survivors include: three daughters, Tami Clemons of Wedowee, Sarah Anne Lipham Perez of Ranburne, and Marie Hudgins of Newell; one son, Brian Lipham of Newell; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Lonette Daniel of Newell; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Bobby Duke, Johnny Morrison, Jake Smith, Josh Smith and Gwendol Rice. A Randolph County native, Mr. Lipham was born on April 9, 1942, the son of Cleo and Vivian Ragsdale Lipham. He was Baptist by faith and worked as a mechanic for Bremen-Bowdon Investments. Mr. Lipham was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Phillip Lipham.
