Funeral services for Jimmie Edward Lee, age 76, of Roanoke will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2015, at 1:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. A.J. Sims officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, July 31, 2015.
Mr. Lee passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015, at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital in Anniston.
Survivors include one daughter, Theresa Lee (Ronald) of Roanoke; one sister, Dorthy Walker of Lanett; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A longtime Roanoke resident, Mr. Lee was born on November 9, 1938, the son of Jessie and Corene Howard Lee. He was a member of Canaan Baptist Church and worked in the timber industry. Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Pearl Glenn Lee; three sisters; five brothers; and two nieces, Marie Lee and Annette Turner.
