Funeral services for J. R. Traylor, age 67, of Woodland will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015, at 2:00 PM from the Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Mark Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday, August 14, 2015. Mr. Traylor passed away Thursday, August 13, 2015, at Regional Medical Center in Anniston. Survivors include: one daughter, Tina Ladell Lebrija of Auburn; one son, Thomas C. Traylor (wife, Krista) of Woodland; three grandchildren, Saranda Traylor of Woodland, Brittany Murr (husband, Garth) of Roanoke, and Emily Warren (husband, John) of Woodland; one great-grandchild, Makenzi Murr of Roanoke; and two sisters, Shirlene Stewart (husband, Norman) and Nancy Fordham (husband, Hugh), both of Woodland. Pallbearers will be William Harmon, Ron Bass, Lois Henderson, Garth Murr, John Warren, and Jimmy Traylor, Jr. A Woodland native, Mr. Traylor was born on October 29, 1948, the son of Curtis R. and Fannie Harmon Traylor. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church and attended Gray Hill Church of God. Mr. Traylor was an engineer assistant for the Randolph County Engineer Department. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jimmy Lee Traylor; and one sister, Joyce Marie Traylor.
