Obituary of William Hugh Henry

Funeral services for William Hugh Henry, age 70, of Heflin will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2015, at 8:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Freddy Whitley and Rev. Bud Jacks officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30-8:00 PM on Thursday, August 27, 2015. Mr. Henry passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at his residence. Survivors include: two daughters, Mavis Waldrop (husband, Wesley) of Heflin and Lynn Mitchell (husband, James) of Ashland; five sons, James Houston Edmondson, Jr., (wife, Renea) of Lineville, Albert Edmondson of Lineville, John William Edmondson of Lineville, Christopher Hugh Henry (wife, Amanda) of Newport, TN, and William Bill Henry of Newport, TN; 16 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Berdie Cox (husband, H.M.) of Woodland and Julie Walls of Woodland; and three brothers, Hughdy Lee Henry (wife, Susie) of Ashland, Frank Henry of Delta, and David Henry of Heflin; and his ex-wife, Easter Henry of Newport, TN. Pallbearers will be Chris Henry, Bill Henry, James Edmondson, Joey Waldrop, Wesley Waldrop, and Jeremy Walls. Honorary pallbearers will be Shayna Waldrop, Frank Henry, Robert Pauley, Jessie Mitchell, and O.J. Henry. A Cleburne County native, Mr. Henry was born on July 10, 1945, the son of Hugh Lindsey and Alma Vaughn Henry. He was self-employed in the timber industry. Mr. Henry was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Alma Rosie Lynn Henry and Dolly JoAnn Henry; one son, David Lee Edmondson; grandson, Jamie Lee Edmondson; two sisters, Macy and Mavis Ann Henry; and two brothers, Charles and Melvin Lewis Henry.
