Funeral services for Emory Lewis Cantrell age 81 of Woodland will be held Sunday September 20, 2015 at 1:00 PM from Providence Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Eason officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Mr. Cantrell will lie in state 30 minutes before the service at the church. Mr. Cantrell passed away Thursday September 17, 2015 at Memory Lane Nursing Home in Bowden, Georgia. The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home- Wedowee on Saturday September 19, 2015 from 5 till 8 PM. Mr. Cantrell is survived by two daughters Kathy (Horacio) Regalado and Dawn (Chad)Whitmore both of Woodland; One Daughter-In-Law Karron Cantrell; Six grandchildren Four sisters Louree Richardson and Annie Ruth Dye both of Woodland, Carolyn Fields of Roanoke and Annette Sinns of Hogansville, Ga; Two brothers Earl Cantrell of Powder Springs, Georgia and Viron Cantrell of Woodland; Mr. Cantrell was born May 11, 1934 the son of Herman and Katie Scott Cantrell. He was retired from the Accounting Department at Southwire. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty Brown Cantrell, a son Steve Cantrell, one grandson Andrew Morrow, two brothers Ussery Cantrell and Rance Cantrell.
