Obituary of Lance McCollough

Graveside services for Lance O. McCollough, age 88, of Newell will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2016, at 9:00 AM from Pine Hill Church of Christ Cemetery with Wilburn McCollough officiating. Burial will follow with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements. Mr. McCollough passed away Friday, April 22, 2016, at his residence. Survivors include: one daughter, Ann Brown (husband, Ken) of Newell; two sons, Nelson McCollough (wife, Kay) of Eclectic and Wilburn McCollough (wife, Jill) of Newell; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dean Jordan. Pallbearers will be Mr. McCollough’s grandsons and nephews. A Randolph County native, Mr. McCollough was born on May 13, 1927, the son of J.W. and Lois McManus McCollough. He was a member of Pine Hill Church of Christ and worked as a presser for Sewell Manufacturing Company. Mr. McCollough was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nell Chambers McCollough; and four sisters and three brothers.
