Funeral services for Joel Mathis Snyder, age 63, of Woodland will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016, at 11:00 AM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Phillip Swafford, Bro. Richard Jackson, and Bro. Chris Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, September 1, 2016. Mr. Snyder passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at Tanner Primary Care Clinic of Woodland. Survivors include his wife, Marie Snyder of Woodland: three daughters, Tabbie Huff (Grant) of Bowdon, GA, Misty Turley (Nichole Lowe) of Corydon, IN, and Tiffany Johnson (Ben) of Lineville; three sons, Joel Gore of Whitesburg, GA, Dustin Snyder (Hannah) of Woodland, and Tim Spears (Wanda) of Roanoke; nine grandchildren, Halie and Jamie Spears, Cierra Lanier, Jake and Gracie Denney, Brayden, Bryant and Julianna Snyder, and Sebastian Lowe; one sister, DeLane Gibbs (Greg) of Woodland; two brothers, Basil Snyder (Teresa) of Woodland and Duke Snyder of Woodland; and an aunt, Winona Crowder of Atlanta, GA. A Randolph County native, Mr. Snyder was born on June 25, 1953, the son of R.V. and Flora Bell Robinson Snyder. He was Baptist by faith and was a retired quality inspector for Pilgrim’s Pride. Mr. Snyder was preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Benefield Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
