Obituary of Edyth Louise Ware Hardman

On January 17, 2017, Edyth Louise Ware Hardman went home to be with her Lord and Savior and to be reunited with her husband, Wilbur D. Hardman, who joined the Lord in April 2014. Mrs. Hardman was the daughter of Edward Ware and Lucy Yarbrough Ware of Wedowee, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her five sweet sisters: Cassie, Una Lee, Lurlene, Bovene, and Reba. She is also preceded in death by her six wonderful brothers: Clenis, Leland, George, Rufus, Opal, and Gus. Mrs. Hardman leaves behind two daughters: Lucy Ann Cochran (David) of West Point, GA, and Linda Gail Williams of Fayetteville, GA; four grandchildren, April Williams Cloutier (John) of Cornelia, GA, Jennifer Williams Garten (Stephen) of Fayetteville, GA, Cassie Gentner Jeter (Orry) of Phenix City, AL, and Frederick Gentner of LaGrange, GA. Mrs. Hardman leaves six precious great-grandchildren: Lucy Ann Eastmead, Andrew Phillip Eastmead, J. R. Garten, Joy Elise Eastmead, Daniel Reed Garten, followed by baby Emily Jane Jeter due in March 2017. She is also leaving several nieces and nephews who she loved very much. Mrs. Hardman loved her Lord, her country, especially her home state of Alabama, and her family. She loved singing hymns, digging in the dirt planting flowers, loved quilting and sewing, and Perry Mason mysteries. Mrs. Hardman never met a stranger and was loved by many. Mrs. Hardman worked in her younger years at a candy store on the square in LaGrange, then Perkerson’s Cleaners in LaGrange. She retired from AT&T after 33 years of service and then worked at Ft. MacPherson in Atlanta as the post operator. Funeral arrangements will be handled by Benefield Funeral Home in Wedowee, Alabama. A memorial service will be graveside on January 29, 2017, at 3:00 PM GA time and 2:00 AL time at Green’s Chapel Methodist Church in Wedowee, Alabama.
