Funeral services for Mark Edward Jones, age 54, of Pinson, Alabama will be held on Monday, February 27, 2017, at 2:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Frank Korb officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30-2:00 PM on Monday, February 27, 2017. Mr. Jones passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017, at St. Vincent’s East in Birmingham, Alabama. Survivors include his wife, Traci Leigh Jones of Pinson; three daughters, Brittany Hallmark of Oxford, Erika Moore of Carrollton, Ga, and Jacklyn Jones of Pinson; one son, Jeremy Jones of Oxford; three grandchildren; four sisters, Debra Hughes of Haleyville, AL, Carla Snider of Woodbury, GA, Angie Morgan of Palmetto, GA, and Beverly Bishop of Wedowee; and one brother, Harold Jones of Eatonton, GA. Pallbearers will be Andrew Potter, Brian Sellers, Marty Bailey and Chad Bailey. A former Wedowee resident, Mr. Jones was born in Atlanta, Georgia on September 8, 1962, the son of Edward E. and Jacqueline Robinson Jones. He was a member of Agape Baptist Church and was a self-employed as a mechanic and wrecker driver. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents.
