Obituary Notice

Funeral services for Clara Beatrice Hester Rollins age 99 of Woodland will be held Tuesday August 8, 2017 at 11 AM at Rocky Branch Baptist Church with Bro. Clayton Scott and Rev. Matt Browning officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. Rollins passed away Saturday August 5, 2017 at Traylors Nursing Home.

The family will receive friends Monday August 7, 2017 from 5 till 7 PM at the funeral home. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services.

Mrs. Rollins is survived by one son Arnold (wife, Carolyn) Rollins of Woodland; five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great grandchildren; two sisters Vivian Burdette of LaGrange, Ga. and Faye Bennett of Wadley;

Pallbearers will be Anthony Rollins, Mark Simpson, Norman Stewart, Tim Bennett, Benny Burnette, Marlon Stewart, Keenan Moon and Brent Arrington.

Mrs. Rollins was a Heard County Georgia native, having lived in Randolph County most of her life. She was born October 9, 1917 the daughter of Benjamin Allan and Lula Jane Duke Hester. She was a homemaker and a member of Rocky Branch Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward Rollins, two daughters Geraldine Arrington and Barbara Odom, two grandsons Max Arrington and Tony Moon, two sisters Laura Stewart and Eunice Stewart, four brothers Roland, Alford, Herman and Emmitt Hester.
