Jimmie Lee Jackson Hammond, age 85, of Wedowee passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.
Survivors include her husband, Charles N. Hammond of Wedowee; three daughters, Pat Hammond of Wedowee, Connie Rabun of Warren, GA, and Sherry Peek of Senoia, GA; one son, Darren Hammond of Wedowee; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Roy L. Jackson of Wedowee.
A Fayette County, Georgia native, Mrs. Hammond was born on May 13, 1932, the daughter of Cleo and Junie Mae Turner Jackson. She was Baptist by faith and was vice president of Bank South. Mrs. Hammond was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Gene Jackson.
There will be no services at this time.
