Obituary of Lynn Burk

Funeral Services for Lynn Burk, age 53, of Wedowee, will be held on Sunday, September 3, 2017, at 3:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wayne Pike officiating. Burial will follow at Potash Church of God Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Saturday, September 2, 2017.

Mr. Burk passed away on September 1, 2017, at his daughter’s home.

Survivors include his father, Clarence Rushell Herren; two daughters, Cheryl Watts (husband, Sam) of Delta, AL and Patricia Hornsby (husband, Joe) of Lineville, AL; two sons, Coy Burk (wife, Jessica) of Wedowee, AL and Michael Burk (wife, Danielle) of Wedowee, AL; 10 grandchildren; and three brothers, Chris Burk of Woodland, AL, Timothy Burk of Roanoke, AL, and Randy Herren of Woodland, AL.

Pallbearers will be Paul Ragan, Chris Pettit, Ray Ragan, Kevin Hand, David Kelley, Anthony Gosdin, Ernie Bearden, and Donny Kelly.

A lifelong resident of Randolph County, Mr. Burk was born on August 21, 1964, the son of Nadine Kelly. He was a member of Open Door Baptist Church and was self-employed. He was preceded in death by his mother.
