Graveside services for Ellaree Payne Clark, age 94, of Kansas City, Missouri, formerly of Wedowee, will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2017, at 3:00 PM at Bear Creek United Methodist Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Clark passed away Monday, October 23, 2017, in Kansas City, Missouri.

Survivors include: one daughter, Jacquelyn Sue Guinn; and seven grandchildren.

A Wedowee native, Ms. Clark was born on August 8, 1923, the daughter of James Carson and Irene Capehart Payne.  She worked as a secretary for the United States Department of the Navy.  Ms. Clark was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Gerald W. Clark; one daughter, Victoria Ann Clark; two sisters, Gladys Sears Botts and Marvis Penhale; and one brother, Hermit Payne.
