Obituary of Herman Roosevelt Green, Jr.

Funeral services for Herman Roosevelt Green, Jr., age 45, of Taylorsville, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at 1:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Alex Higgins officiating.  Burial will follow at Highway Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:30-8:00 PM on Friday, October 13, 2017.

Mr. Green passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at Cartersville Medical Center in Cartersville, Georgia.

Survivors include: two brothers, Richard Green of LaGrange, GA, and Dave A. Green of Lithia Springs, GA; and Herman’s fiancé, Debbie Cassell of Taylorsville, GA.

Pallbearers will be Chad Green, Derrick Green, Shay Manley, James Jenkins, Matt Howard, Aaron Howard, and Bradley Howard.

A Roanoke native, Mr. Green was born on June 26, 1972, the son of Herman Roosevelt Green, Sr., and Shirley Ann Flint Green.  He was Baptist by faith and worked as a tree surgeon for Lee’s Trees.  Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents.
