Funeral services for Jesse Lawrence Wyatt, age 90, of Lineville will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2020, at 11:00 AM CST at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Phillip Waits officiating. 

Graveside services will be held at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Fairburn, Georgia, at a later date.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00-11:00 AM on Saturday before services begin.

Mr. Wyatt passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at Lineville Health and Rehabilitation.

Survivors include: two daughters, Becky Smith of Lineville and Jane Wyatt of Batesburg, SC; two grandchildren, Sharon Hogan and Amanda Wyatt; and two great-grandchildren, Hunter Smith and Michael Hogan.

A Fayette County, Georgia native, Mr. Wyatt was born on January 11, 1930, the son of Jesse Lawrence Wyatt, Sr., and Eunice Hill Wyatt Roberts.  He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.  Mr. Wyatt worked as a meat cutter for Colonial Stores and Irwin’s Grocery Stores and served as Chief of the Hopeful Community Volunteer Fire Department.  He also owned Fayette Paint and Body Shop, where he was self-taught, and taught body shop repair and general mechanics in Fulton County, Georgia.  Mr. Wyatt was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Evelyn Irene Wyatt; and a brother, Richard Wyatt.
