Funeral services for Rudolph Blanks, age 92, of Woodland will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Providence Baptist Church with Bro. David Daniel, Bro. Tony Morris, and Bro. Don Gay officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:30 PM - 8:00 PM on Wednesday. Mr. Blanks will lie in state for one hour prior to services beginning on Thursday.

Mr. Blanks passed away Monday, August 22, 2022, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia.

Survivors include: son, Quinton Blanks of Woodland, AL; one grandchild, Jordan Napier (Justin); two great-grandchildren, Aiden Blanks and Piper Napier; two brothers, Billie Joe Blanks of McDonugh, GA and Jimmy Blanks of Carrollton, GA; one sister, Ennett Blanks of Navare, FL.

Pallbearers will be Louie Burge, Elton Akins, Larry Wilson, Richard Parrish, Joe Mote, Danny Giles, Pierce Meadows, and Wendell Shelton. Honorary pallbearers will be Lawrence Edwards, L.C. Henderson, Danny Harris, and Benny Akins.  

A Randolph County native, Mr. Blanks was born on May 22, 1930, the son of R.T. and Brady Steen Blanks. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church and worked as a poultry farmer. Mr. Blanks was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ailene Brown Blanks; Son, Jerry Wayne Blanks; sister, Mary Blanks Lovvorn; and brothers, Cleo Blanks, Leamon Blanks, Ertis Blanks, David Blanks, Jessie Blanks, John Blanks, and Clyde Blanks.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Providence Baptist Church or the Woodlands Civic Club.
