Funeral services for James Bruce Green, Sr., age 82, of Wedowee, will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Greens Chapel Church with Bro. Tommy Burkes and John J. Hall III of the Masonic Brothers officiating. Burial will follow at the adjoining cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM on Friday before services begin.

Mr. Green passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at his residence.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Minnie Stribling Green; daughters, Kathy Vollenweider (John) of Opelika, Ala. and Lisa Lynn Watford (Colby) of Auburn, Ala.; son, James Bruce Green, Jr. (Melinda) of Rainsville, Ala.; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and brother, Charles Hiram Green or Roanoke, Ala.

Pallbearers will be the Masonic Brothers.

A Randolph County native, Mr. Green was born on October 22, 1940, the son of Acie Bruce and Mary Benefield Green.  He was a member of Greens Chapel Church, a member of the Free Masons, and worked as a supervisor at West Point Pepperell. Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Collins Anglin; and brother, Terry Michael Green.
