Funeral services for Maggie Norred, age 41, of Roanoke will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 3:30 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ricky Emery officiating.  Burial will follow at Fellowship Baptist Church in Bacon Level.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00-3:30 PM on Thursday before services begin.

Mrs. Norred passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at her home.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Norred of Roanoke; three daughters, Kyra Norred, Charis Norred, and Mailey Norred, all of Roanoke; her father, Larry McGuirk; two sisters, Wendy Caldwell and Kathryn Guffin; and one brother, Lawrence McGuirk.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Crenshaw, Jeffrey Bolt, Dalton Goolsby, Jake Crowson, Houston Stockman, and Timmy Smith.

A longtime Roanoke resident, Mrs. Norred was born in Kodiak, Alaska, on April 5, 1982, the daughter of Larry and Linda Williams McGuirk.  She was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and was a stay-at-home mom.  Mrs. Norred enjoyed gardening, being a mom, and doing her girls’ hair.  She was preceded in death by her mother.

Memorials may be floral or the family would prefer donations to go to Benefield Funeral Home to go toward final expenses.
