Funeral services for Betty Lipham Owen, age 73, of Woodland will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Sister Carolyn Hanner officiating.  Burial will follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-2:00 PM on Wednesday before services begin.

Mrs. Owen passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at her residence.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph Owen of Woodland; one daughter, Angie Lambert of Woodland; one son, Kevin Owen (Beth) of Woodland; three grandchildren, Wesley Moore (Kayla), Baylee Owen and Bradley Owen; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Sue Wakefield of Woodland; and two brothers, Tracy Lipham (Jane) of Woodland and Steve Lipham (Jan) of Opelika.

Pallbearers will be Bradley Owen, Wesley Moore, Chris Hill, Michael Hill, Dontae Barrett, and Marty Nicholson.

A Wedowee native, Mrs. Owen was born on February 1, 1951, the daughter of Dellis and Martha Hill Lipham.  She was a member of Woodland Church of God and worked as a beautician.  Mrs. Owen was preceded in death by her parents and a son-in-law, Terrell Lambert.
