Funeral services for Donnie Joe Gibbs, 79, of Woodland will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. David Daniel officiating.  Burial will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00-11 AM on Friday before services begin.

Mr. Gibbs passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Traylor’s Nursing Center in Roanoke.

Survivors include: one sister, Betty Butler of Florida and one brother, Kenneth Gibbs of Woodland.

A Graham, Alabama native, Mr. Gibbs was born on August 5, 1945, the son of Claude and Annie Lura Lee Gibbs.  He was a member of Ranburne First Baptist Church. Mr. Gibbs was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Shirley Doris Edmondson; and one brother, Claude Gibbs, Jr.
