Venita E. Goode, age 79, of Newell passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at her residence.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Goode of Newell; one daughter, Monica Santoro (James) of Trophy Club, TX; two grandchildren, Matthew Santoro and Gabrielle Santoro; one cousin, Linda Edwards of Huntsville; and many camping friends that were considered like family.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Goode was born on June 17, 1945, the daughter of John H. and Izetta Matthews Evans.  She was a member of Jordan Chapel Cong. Methodist Church and worked as a seamstress at Bremen-Bowdon Investments.  Mrs. Goode was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, Jamie.

A private service will be held at a later date.
