Funeral services for Jimmy F. Smith, age 74, of Woodland will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Marty Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:30-8:00 PM on Sunday, February 9, 2025.

Mr. Smith passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025, at East Alabama Medical Center in Wedowee.

Survivors include: three sons, Scott Smith and Josh Smith, both of Woodland, and Jarrett Smith of Nashville, TN; six grandchildren; and three sisters, Jeanette Richardson of LaGrange, GA, Pam Sheats of Franklin, GA, and Kim Monroe of Macon, GA.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Spradlin, Josh Smith, Scott Smith, Jarrett Smith, Seth Smith, Jr., and Cort Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Rickey Dunlap, Marty Dunlap, Jasper Smith, Bobby Crenshaw, and Billy Rogers.

A Roanoke native, Mr. Smith was born on March 1, 1950, the son of Otis H. and Annie Dunlap Smith.  He was a member of Providence Baptist Church and was a chicken farmer.  Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Tonie Smith; and a grandson, Jeremiah Smith.
