Obituary of Jerry Frank Harris

Funeral services for Jerry Frank Harris, age 80, of Lineville will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Bethel North Baptist Church with Rev. James Benefield officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 1:00 PM on Thursday before services begin.

Mr. Harris passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Clay County Health Authority in Ashland, AL.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Jane Miller Harris of Lineville; two daughters, Renee Walker (Chris) of Manchester, GA, and Shannon Harris of Lawrenceville, GA; one son, Jerry Paul Harris of Lineville; three grandchildren, Lauren Gasser, Leslie Thompson (Kyle), and Sydney Kampmier; and three great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Gasser, Blakely Gasser, and Merritt Thompson.

Pallbearers will be Bloyce Harris, Roger Harris, Glenn Miller, Vernon Miller, David Smith, and Kyle Thompson.  Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Hightower, Bret Coleman, Bradon Ingram, Edward Brimer, Artie Ligon, Wayne Campbell, Matthew Miller, and Mikey Morris.

A Lineville native, Mr. Harris was born on March 25, 1944, the son of John H and Lenora East Harris.  He was a member of Bethel North Baptist Church and was a market manager for Coca-Cola before his retirement.  Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Alec Glasser; and a sister, Ann McAlister.
