Obituary of Doris Wilson McCullough

Doris Wilson McCullough, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed from this life on March 6, 2025, at Lineville Health and Rehab, Lineville, AL.

She was born and raised in Panola, Alabama, to John Halbert Wilson, Sr., and Alice Rucker Wilson.  She spent most of her adult life in Highland Home and Montgomery, Alabama, where she was a member of Heritage Baptist Church.

Mrs. McCullough was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 58 years, William Fred McCullough; a son, John Arnold McCullough; her two sisters, Hazel Cousins and Evelyn Williamson; and two brothers, John Halbert Wilson, Jr., and David Eugene (Tip) Wilson. 

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Donna McCullough; daughter-in-law, Roseanne McCullough; son and daughter-in-law, James and Sheila McCullough; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Fun, feisty, and loving, she left an indelible legacy, lived a full life, and will be sorely missed.  The family would like to sincerely thank Answered Prayer Care Services, The Gardens of Waterford, and Lineville Health and Rehabilitation for their support and care.

A graveside service will be held at Serenity Gardens on Harrison Road in Montgomery on Monday, March 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Heritage Baptist Legacy Fund, 1849 Perry Hill Road, Montgomery, AL 36106.
