Funeral services for Linda Haynes Martin, age 75, of Newell will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Cleve Moore officiating.  Burial will follow at Jordan Chapel Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-700 PM on Friday, March 21, 2025.

Mrs. Martin passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital in Newnan, Georgia.

Survivors include: two brothers, Gary Haynes of Newell and Stanley Haynes of Ashland.

A Wedowee native, Mrs. Martin was born on December 26, 1949, the daughter of J. C. and Louise Cofield Haynes.  She was a member of Jordan’s Chapel Congregational Methodist Church and attended Rehoboth Baptist Church.  Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Chris Haynes.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that any donations be made to Jordan Chapel Congregational Methodist Church.
