Obituary of Mary Moore

Funeral services for Mary Moore, age 77, of Roanoke will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 12 Noon at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro Keith Benefield and Bro. Keith Minix officiating.  Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:30-7:00 on Monday, March 24, 2025.

Mrs. Moore passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at her daughter’s home.

Survivors include: two daughters, Tracey Rollins (Scott) of Wedowee and Tammy Pike (James Eugene Pike) of Roanoke; grandchildren, Dusty Moore of Lake Butler, FL, James Pike (Kota) and Hunter Pike, both of Roanoke; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Earl Benefield of Centre, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Scott Rollins, Dusty Moore, Kenneth Moon, River Pike, Chuck Gosdin, and Keith Minix.

A Roanoke native, Mrs. Moore was born on March 14, 1948, the daughter of Charlie B. and Clementine Garrison Benefield.  She was a member of Midway Community Church and was a homemaker who enjoyed ceramics and painting.  Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Moore; a grandson, Steven Moore; three sisters, Alice Gladys Benefield, Lorena Minix, and Catherine Benefield; and two brothers, Dave Benefield and Homer Benefield.
