Obituary of Sandra Payton Walker

Funeral services for Sandra Payton Walker, age 61, of Wedowee will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Jeremy Liner and Bro, Joe Newborn officiating.  Burial will follow at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-3:00 PM on Wednesday before services begin. 

Mrs. Walker passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025, in Wedowee.

Survivors include: two daughters, Joanna Brown (Edward) of Heflin and VDell Walker of Gadsden; three sons, Anthony Milton Eason (Stacey) and William Clay Eason, both of LaGrange, GA, and Austin Walker (Audrey) of Wedowee; 12 grandchildren; and two sisters, Cynthia Aldridge and Angie Chicko, both of Newnan, GA.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

A Newnan, Georgia native, Mrs. Walker was born on August 2, 1963, the daughter of Grady Milton and Patsy Smith Payton.  She was Baptist by faith and was a homemaker.  Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Wendell Walker.
