Linda Kay Austin, mother to “Rocky” John Charles Austin II, Sherry Barkwell, and Tina Knowles (1968-2022), passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025. Her final moments were spent in her home in Wedowee, Alabama, surrounded by love from her significant other Johnny Harris.

She was born on September 19, 1948 in Turtle Town, Tennessee to A.J. and Onibee Cross. Kay was a loving sister to Connie Beaver and Ebba Stymus. Grandmother to Erica, Austin, Savanna, Stephanie, and Amanda. Great-Grandmother to Autumn, Jasper, Gene, Daniel, Oliver, and Ronan.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
