Graveside services for Jimmy Cecil Partin, age 84, of Woodland, AL, will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 3:00 PM CDT/4:00 PM EDT at Brafford Cemetery in Gray, Kentucky, with Rev. Ed Halsey officiating and Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Partin passed away on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, GA.

Survivors include: one son, James Wade Partin of Richmond, VA; four daughters, Saundra L. Gross (George), Rhonda L. Halsey (Ed), and Gabrielle L. Kinser (Harold), all of Roanoke, AL and Nicole L. Centers (Charles) of Canton, GA; eight grandchildren, Clayton James Partin, Augelique J. Stone, Stewart J. Gross, Katie B. Cowan, Eric C. Halsey, Sean M. Halsey, Nyoka L. Marsee, and Matthew L. Kinser; 11 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Martha Kaye Middleton of Corbin, KY.

Pallbearers will be Sean Halsey, Eric Halsey, Stewart Gross, Charles Wayne Marsee, Clayton James Partin and James Wade Partin.

A Pineville, Kentucky native, Mr. Partin was born on July 12, 1940, the son of John Frank Partin.  He was Catholic by faith. After his United States Navy career, Mr. Partin retired from the U.S. Air Force Civil Service. Mr. Partin loved the outdoors, especially deer hunting and bass fishing and had served as president of the Bass Masters Association in Virginia Beach.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elizabeth R. Partin; and a brother, Marshall Partin.
