Funeral services for Mary Helen Butler Harrington, age 92, of Woodland will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at 3:00 PM CDT at Herren’s Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Widener and Rev. Jerry Wiggins officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00-3:00 PM CDT on Sunday before services begin.

Mrs. Harrington passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025, at her residence.

Survivors include: two sons, David Harrington (Louise) and Donald Harrington (Gail), both of Woodland; three grandchildren, Sabrina Harrington, Alicia Collins, and Scot Harrington (Candice); step-grandchildren, Bobby Smith (Tammy) and Barry Smith (Maci); eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Millard Butler (Bill) of LaGrange, GA; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Ray Green, Bruce Green, Steve Butler, Bobby Smith, Barry Smith, Andy Harrington, Eddie Harrington, and Scot Harrington.  Honorary pallbearers will be Neal Harrington and Wayne Yates.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Harrington was born on October 20, 1932, the daughter of John Henry and Jessee Lee Kitchens Butler.  She was a member of Herren’s Grove Baptist Church and was retired from Bremen-Bowdon Investments.  Mrs. Harrington was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Millard James Harrington; grandson, Jay Harrington; and five brothers, Doug, Fred, Carlos, John, and Harris Butler.
