Funeral services for Gilford Parrish, age 79, of Woodland will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Bear Creek Methodist Church with Lee Parrish, J.W. Daniel, and Rev. Jacob Wilkerson officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-800 PM on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.  Mr. Parrish will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Thursday.

Mr. Parrish passed away Monday, July 28, 2025, at his residence.

Survivors include: three sons, Joseph Lee Parrish, Greggory W. Parrish (Ginger), and Richard M. Parrish (Brandi), all of Woodland; three grandchildren, Kayla Parrish, Kaleb Parrish (Nicole), and Carlin Parrish; six great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Jean Loveless, Margaret Parmer, Juanita Gay, and Gail Harrington.

Pallbearers will be Randy McManus, David Daniel, Kaleb Parrish, Vernon Lipham, and Eli Rollins.

A Cleburne County native, Mr. Parrish was born on March 14, 1946, the son of Woodrow and Betha Lipham Parrish.  He was retired from Jeld Wen as a truck driver.  Mr. Parrish was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Judy Parrish; a great-grandchild; two brothers, Blake Parrish and Woodrow Parrish, Jr.; and one sister, Barbara Daniel.
