I loved Mona and she was a special and sweet woman. She was bedridden for many years and I never heard her complain. She was well taken care of by Deborah and the caregivers. I am so thankful and grateful to know that she was well cared for and I believe that when she closed her eyes on August 5, 2025, she woke up in Heaven. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Fly high sweet Mona.

I was Mrs. Sailor's mail carrier for many years (25+). She, Mr. Sailors, and Mr. Green were always nice to me. I am blessed to have known her. Prayers for the family.

Mona and Sherman Sailors Sharon Jimenez Deborah Lyle, Bob Jimenez photo taken by Mark Lyle. Mona and Sherman Sailors, stepmother and father to Deborah Lyle, always welcomed Deborah and Mark Lyle’s family from Los Angeles when we would come out to see the wonderful in-laws of our daughter Anna Jimenez Lyle after her marriage to Tyler Lyle. Mona adored her Lyle family in the 10 years we would come to visit our daughter, son in law, Deborah, Mark, and Alaina Lyle. I remember the first visit when Mona took us through their home and showed me the many lovely things she collected and wanted to share. When her illness began to affect her health in recent years she would still greet us with a loving smile as Sherman would take us to see the farm animals entertaining us with his stories about his long friendship and later marriage to Mona. I always believed the love Deborah and Mark had for Sherman and Mona was something they just had to share even though our visits to Georgia and Alabama were short as we live across the continent in Los Angeles California. We were all saddened to hear of the passing of Mona and know she is now with Jesus and reunited with her family in heaven. We send our condolences to Sherman, Deborah, Mark, Tyler, Anna, Beau, and Alaina Lyle. We will all miss Miss Mona. RIP.
