Funeral services for Sandra Vowell Brown, age 73, of Wedowee will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Fitzgerald Brown, Bro. Wayne Pike, and Bro. Ryan Conger officiating.  Burial will follow at Valley Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.

Mrs. Brown passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025, at her residence.

Survivors include her husband, Jack Brown of Wedowee; two sons, Tony Brown (Lynn) and Chasey Brown (Lynn), both of Wedowee; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; six sisters, Lottie Key, Debra Little, Kathy Vowell, Wanda Smith, Janice Sprayberry, and Sheila Bozeman; and one brother, Randy Vowell.

Pallbearers will be Brad Smith, Colten Hanson, Bobby Bolt, Tim Richardson, Glen Brown, Benji Johnson, and James Johnson.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Brown was born on November 27, 1951, the daughter of Lommie and Maddie Mapp Vowell.  She was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church and was a homemaker.  Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Coty Brown; sisters, Dorothy Hunt and Linda Bolt; and brothers, Vernon Vowell and Larry Vowell.
