James Michael “Mike” Johnson, age 66, of Wedowee, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at his home.

Survivors include: significant other, Claudia Long; daughter, Stephanie Caine; son, Josh Johnson; two sisters, Julie Payton and Tammy Thompson; one brother, Ken Johnson; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; stepson, Christian Long.

Mr. Johnson was born on June 2, 1959, the son of James Malcolm Johnson and Norma Stalter Johnson.  He was Christian by faith and had worked with Randolph County Highway department as a heavy equipment operator.  Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will hold a memorial service on November 8, 2025 at 1 PM at Mr. Johnson's residence.
