Graveside services for Mary Braden, age 91, of Wedowee will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Myles Dowdy officiating and Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Miss Braden passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Clay County Nursing Home in Ashland.

Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Bev Jensen (Jeff), Barry Baker (Cookie), Chuck Baker (Mu-Yi), Vickie Brymer (Larry), Cindy Dowdy (Myles), and Jane Pitts (Sherman).

A Wedowee native, Miss Braden was born on March 30, 1934, the daughter of H. D. and Verta Williams Braden.  She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and worked for the Randolph County Commission.  Miss Braden was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Rudolph Braden, Jerusha Braden, Clara Dobson, and Marjorie Baker.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery or Corinth Baptist Church.
