Funeral services for Ida Belle Bowen, age 94, of Woodland will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 2:00 PM at East Napoleon Church of Christ with Bro. Bill Prince, Jr., officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.

Miss Bowen passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Traylor’s Nursing Center in Roanoke.

Survivors include: one sister, Shirley Elder (Joe) of Greensboro, NC; and one brother, Otis Bowen, Jr., (Janis) of Wedowee; and one brother-in-law, Roman Richardson of Franklin, GA.

Pallbearers will be Miss Bowen’s nephews.

A Randolph County native, Miss Bowen was born on April 4, 1931, the daughter of Otis and Betty Lou Scott Bowen.  She was a member of East Napoleon Church of Christ and worked as a seamstress for Fashion Star.  Miss Bowen was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Sarah Richardson; and a nephew, Greg Richardson.
