Funeral services for Veronica Lynn “Rhonda” Wright, age 50, of Columbus, GA, will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Craig McClure officiating.  Burial will follow at Union Chapel Methodist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 AM on Monday before services begin.

Mrs. Wright passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Piedmont Midtown Hospital in Columbus, GA.

Survivors include her husband, Kevin Wright; one daughter, Chelsea Danielle Marable; one son, Zion Timothy Wright; two grandchildren, Journey Lewis and Brayden Young; five sisters, Brenda Faye Parker, Ruby (Thomas) Traylor, Lisa (Memphis) McElrath, Linda Marable, and Marilyn Marable; six brothers, Willie (Natoya) Carter, Jr., Gaymon Marable, Demitrius Marable, Timothy Marable, Tyson (Brittany) Marable, and Tyler Marable; bonus sister, Stephanie Stephens; special friends, Darric Morgan and Tara Dowdell; and Jack’s Family Restaurant family.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Wright’s nephews.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Wright was born on September 25, 1975, the daughter of James and Dorothy Johnson Marable.  She was Methodist by faith and has worked as a manager for Jack’s Family Restaurants for 15 years.  Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Kevin Wright, Jr.; and a brother, Earl Pogue.
