Funeral services for Brent P. Calhoun, age 60, of Woodland will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Chris Mitchell officiating.  Burial will follow at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 8:30 – 10:00 AM on Thursday before services begin.

Mr. Calhoun passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, in Oxford, Alabama.

Survivors include: one daughter, Kalie Calhoun of Oxford; two sons, Caleb Calhoun of Opelika and Connor Calhoun of Wedowee; five grandchildren, Mason, Paisley, Grayson, Adah and Asher; his mother, Minnie Jean Taylor of Anniston; two sisters, Belinda Christopher (Chris)  of Marianna, FL, and Joann Calhoun of Chipley, FL; and one brother, George Calhoun (Glenda) of Ft. Walton Beach, FL.

A lifelong Woodland resident, Mr. Calhoun was born in Virginia on December 16, 1964, the son of Earnest Marshall Calhoun and Minnie Jean Rollins Taylor.  He was Baptist by faith, a graduate of the RCHS Class of 1983, and worked as a poultry farmer.  Mr. Calhoun was preceded in death by his father.
