Funeral services for Ralph Crawford Haynes, age 91, of Wedowee will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Zion Baptist Church in Woodland, Alabama with Rev. David Daniel officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00-2:00 PM on Monday before services begin.

Mr. Haynes passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at his residence.

A Randolph County native, Mr. Haynes was born on December 9, 1934, the son of Crawford Clift Haynes and Glema Harrod Haynes. He graduated from Woodland High School and went on to attend Auburn University, then known as Alabama Polytechnic Institute, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Agriculture. Following graduation, he worked as an Extension Agent in Geneva County before moving into heavy equipment sales with Tri State in Macon, Georgia and Case Tractor Company in Atlanta. In 1969, he founded Haynes Grading, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia which he operated with his son Jordan until retiring in 2012.

Mr. Haynes had a deep love for the land and farming. He operated a small farm where he raised Arabian horses and cattle in Georgia, and later he and his son Jordan raised cattle in Alabama. He was a member of Midway Community Church, served in the National Guard, and was a longtime member of Optimist International.

Mr. Haynes was married to Mary Ann Jordan Haynes in 1955. Together they had four children. Mary Ann passed away in 1986. In 2013, he married Imogene Greene Haynes, who preceded him in death in 2024.

Survivors include two daughters, Katherine Haynes Henderson (Michael) and Deborah Haynes Lee (Kenneth); two sons, Jordan Crawford Haynes (Judy) and Ralph Bradford Haynes (Tricia); grandchildren, Shannon Lee Miller (Shannon) and Heather Lee (Michael); great-grandchildren, Cameron, Cason, Caylee, London, Sydney, Vail, Phoenix, and Jackson; two sisters, Lenda Ann Haynes McCain and Rosalie Haynes; and many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives; and two sisters, Eloise Haynes Rice and Roberta Haynes Paul.
