Funeral services for Kenneth Wayne Whaley, age 71, of Wedowee will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Scott Whaley officiating.  Burial will follow at Levens Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-2:00 PM on Saturday before services begin.

Mr. Whaley passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Regional Medical Center in Anniston.

Survivors include: one daughter, Amber Whaley; two sons, Josh Whaley and Jay Whaley; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his mother, Annie Whaley; and his partner, Darlene Whaley.

Pallbearers will be Kason Jones, Allen Sikes, Drew Mercer, Robert Nelson, Barry Nelson, and Nelson McCain.

A Randolph County native, Mr. Whaley was born on November 11, 1954, the son of Harvis and Annie Lee Nelson Whaley.  He was a member of Levens Baptist Church and was retired from owning Whaley’s Body Shop.  Mr. Whaley was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Chris Whaley.
