Funeral services for Sarah Ellen Turner, age 77, of Wedowee will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Union Chapel Methodist Church with Michael Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, January 23, 2026.  Sarah will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Saturday.

Sarah was born on March 2, 1948, in Wedowee, Alabama, to the late James Bailey and Hattie L. Glenn.  She was raised and loved by the late Charlie Junior Glenn.  Sarah departed this life on the 16th of January of 2026.

Sarah was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and auntie.  She was a ball of energy and a firecracker at times.

Sarah leaves behind in loving memories: Children, Betty Turner (Oldest), Phylis Andrews, Jim Turner, and Mary Turner; grandchildren, B. J. Turner, Rosby Andrews, London Bradley, and Carmen Bradley; great-grandchild, Brooklyn Turner; sisters, Laura Mathews, Mary Ruth Glenn (2009), and Rosemary Starks (2022; and loving and caring nieces, nephews, and cousins.
