Funeral services for Joseph Lee Nunn, age 80, of Heflin will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Stoney Halsey officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Thursday before services begin.

Mr. Nunn passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026, at his home.

Survivors include: one son, Joseph Nunn, Jr., of Atlanta, GA; 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Annie Cooley (Willie) of Heflin, Leole Minnifield of Atlanta, and Patricia J. Heath and Pamela J. Jones, both of Birmingham.

A Randolph County native, Mr. Nunn was born on October 28, 1945, the son of Noah R. and Lomia Roundtree Nunn.  He was a member of Union Chapel Methodist Church and worked as a logger.  Mr. Nunn was preceded in death by his parents.
