Funeral services for James “Ronnie” Bailey, age 70, of Woodland will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Alan Daniel and Bro. Mark Holt officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Church of Christ Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-2:00 PM on Friday before services begin. 

Mr. Bailey passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Bennett Bailey of Woodland; one daughter, Candace Ussery (Lee) of Roanoke; one son, Nicholis Bailey of Woodland; and two grandchildren, Lane Ussery and Lee Anna Ussery.

Pallbearers will be Brad Johnson, Lee Ussery, Lane Ussery, Nick Bailey, Shane Cosper, and Tim Bennett.  Jack Johnson will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

A lifelong Woodland resident, Mr. Bailey was born in Lafayette on April 1, 1955, the son of R.Z. and Beatrice Jones Bailey.  He was Christian by faith and worked as a forklift driver for Jeld Wen.  Mr. Bailey was a member of the Randolph County Cattleman’s Association and the East Alabama Antique Farm Equipment Club.  He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
