Funeral services for Joseph Brian Morris, age 49, of Wedowee, will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Pastor Lee Knight and Bro. Ronnie Williams officiating.  Burial will follow at Wedowee City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-2:00 PM on Sunday before services begin.

Mr. Morris passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026, at his residence.

Survivors include: one daughter, Francesca Morris of Jacksonville, AL; his parents, Randy and Kathy Morris of Wedowee; one brother, Eric D. Morris of Wedowee; a nephew, Ryan Morris; and Martha Cook, Mrs. Kathy’s angel,

of Wedowee.

Pallbearers will be Danny Hadley, Jason Ledbetter, and Gene Mastin.

A Georgia native, Mr. Morris was born on August 20, 1976, the son of Randy D. and Kathy Lewis Morris.  He was a member of Youth Baptist Church in Powder Springs, Georgia, and worked in service for Buster Miles Ford and the Wedowee Marina.
