Travis Nelson, passed away peacefully at his home on May 1, 2026. He was born on June 21, 1977, in Dalton, Georgia.

Travis is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 22 years, Mary Nelson; his parents, Travis, Sr. and Debbie; sister, Jessica;  nieces, Cameron and Courtney. Aunt Shelia Lindsey, Uncle Gary (Peggy) Groves. a host of cousins that he was close to growing up ; step daughters, Amanda(Brandon), Amber(TJ), Abby(Lane) and Ally(Tae) and his grandkids Gage, Peyton, Ryder, Ethan, Paisley, Landon, Adalyn, Adalee, Riggs, Braylon, Brycen, and Alora.

He was a graduate of Ranburne High School and attended Southern Union. Travis spent many years working in construction as a framer, where he enjoyed working outdoors. Later in life, he found his passion in tile work, becoming highly skilled in his craft. He worked with C & C Floors before eventually starting his own business. Travis was known for his talent and took great pride in creating beautiful tile work.

Travis lived life to the fullest and cherished time spent at the beach. He will be remembered for his laid-back and friendly nature, his patience, and his willingness to always be there for his family whenever they needed him.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
