Graveside services for Miss Patti Ruth Franklin, age 69, will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at Iduma Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery in Wedowee, AL at 2:00 PM with Bro. Larry Conger officiating and Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. 

Miss Franklin was born on December 23, 1956, to Willis and Marjorie Woodard Franklin in Wedowee, AL.  She passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2026 at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center in Anniston, AL. She was Christian by faith and a member at Iduma Congregational Methodist Church. 

She is survived by two sisters in law; Donna Franklin and Sherrye Franklin, two nieces; Mandy Whaley (Kerry) and Casey Franklin Yarbrough, three nephews; Jeremy Franklin (D’Ann), Jason Franklin, and David Franklin (Wendy), four great nieces; Jessica Franklin, Lindsey Franklin, Olivia Franklin and Daisy Franklin, seven great nephews; Caleb Franklin (Katelyn), Joel Franklin (Jaiden), Hunter Franklin, Lowery Franklin,  Jaxon Whaley, Jordan Whaley and Ethan Wortham, two cousins; Tina Blalock and Myra Gaskins, and a host of great great nieces and nephews. 

Pall bearers will be Jeremy Franklin, Jason Franklin, Kerry Whaley and Lowery Franklin.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers; Douglas Franklin and Ray Franklin.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home for her final expenses.
