Funeral services for Bobby McCarley Rampy, Sr., age 93, of Woodland will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM CST at Liberty Grove Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. Greg Norred and Bro. Eric Cummings officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at Liberty Grove Congregational Methodist Church from 5:00-7:00 PM CST on Monday, June 8, 2026.  Mr. Rampy will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Monday.

Mr. Rampy went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, June 5, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Katie Sue Baker Rampy of Woodland; two daughters, Melissa Rampy Brown (Mark) of Williamson, GA, and Kimberly Rampy McMullen (Tom) of Oxford, GA; one son, Bobby McCarley Rampy, Jr., (Lari), of Woodland; seven grandchildren, Adam Brown, Maegan Brookshire, Carley Rampy, Bobby McCarley Rampy, III, Zachary Rankin, Daisy Rankin, and Noah Rankin; five great-grandchildren, Addison Brown, Eva Strickland, Arya Brookshire, Kora Brookshire, and Annabeth Rankin; and one brother, Hobart Rampy of Williamson, GA.

Pallbearers will be Eric Cummings, Roger Maddox, Jamie Dukus, Chuck Yarbrough, Bobby Rampy, III, Adam Brown, and Noah Rankin.

A Randolph County native, Mr. Rampy was born on May 25, 1933, the son of Jim B. and Eva McCarley Rampy.  He was an active member of Liberty Grove Congregational Methodist Church where he served as deacon and as the treasurer from 2002-2022. Mr. Rampy was a veteran of the United States Navy and worked for Eastern Airlines for 33 years.  He enjoyed woodworking, coin collecting, and running marathons.  Mr. Rampy loved music and playing the guitar and also enjoyed farming and gardening.  He was a pee-wee football coach for over ten years and was an avid Alabama fan. Roll Tide!  Mr. Rampy was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, J.C. Rampy, Stanley Rampy, Bovard Rampy, and James Albert Rampy; and sisters, Isabelle Harrington, Lila Frank Goode, and Jeanette Holloway.
