Michelle Lynn Grippin, age 50, of Roanoke, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at her home surrounded by family.

Survivors include: two daughters, Kylie Jones and Ali Brown; life partner and best friend, Brandy Jones of Roanoke; her mother, Janice Keeseman Simpkins; two sisters, Natalie Dempsey (Patrick) of Graham and Angie Sutton (Robert) of Stapleton, GA; and a brother, Dennis Simpkins (Carla) of Globe, AZ.

A Pennsylvania native, Ms. Grippin was born on November 1, 1975, the daughter of Buddy and Janice Keeseman Simpkins. She was a member of Community Life Church and worked as a paramedic for SAT and Oxford Health Systems.  Ms. Grippin’s biggest joy in life was her children, she loved them dearly. She was known for her quick wit, sense of humor,

and always kept people smiling.  Ms. Grippin loved motorcycles and hunting and fishing.  She was preceded in death by her father and a son, Landon Bruce Melson.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to her children’s college fund c/o Benefield Funeral Home, 17624 Highway 431, Wedowee, AL 36278.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
