Funeral services for Brenda Gail Heath, age 79, of Woodland will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. William Fordham officiating.  Burial will follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, June 11, 2026.

Mrs. Heath passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at her residence.

Survivors include: two daughters, Tami Lipham of Ashland and Alecia Fordham (William) of Woodland; one son, James Shafer of Woodland; nine grandchildren, Bridget Jones (Thomas), Jake Smith (Jessica), Josh Smith (Margaret), Roman Richardson (Joelle), Mitchell Smith (Tonya), Kristin Burson (Nathan), Shay Wiggins (Frida), Garrett Shafer, and Austin Fordham (Jessica); 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; one sister, Kim Howard (David) of Temple, GA; and one brother, Tommy Mitchell (Carol) of Heflin.

Pallbearers will be Jake Smith, Josh Smith, Roman Richardson, Nathan Burson, Landyn Burson, Austin Fordham, Micah Cantrell, and JJ Hannan.  Honorary pallbearers will be Mitchell Smith, Shay Wiggins, and Thomas Jones.

A Bowdon, Georgia native, Mrs. Heath was born on October 12, 1946, the daughter of John D Mitchell and Florene Turner Daniel.  She was Christian by faith and worked in sales.  Mrs. Heath was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry Lee Heath; sister, Freddie Yates; and two brothers, Dale Mitchell and Terry Mitchell.

In lieu of flowers, Brenda requested that donations be made to the Woodland Volunteer Fire Department c/o Woodland Town Hall PO Box 156 Woodland, AL 36280.
