Gladys McPherson, 71, of Wedowee passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at

her residence.

Survivors include: two daughters, Desiree Roach and Sabrina Bohannon; one son,

Michael Degnan; three grandchildren, Dominic Sims, Joseph Degnan, and Asher

Degnan; and four siblings, Roger Degnan, Brenda Cole, Robert Degnan, and Debra

Homza.

A New York native, Mrs. McPherson was born on August 2, 1955, the daughter of

Thomas Joseph and Harriett E. Martin Degnan. She was a retired truck driver for Ford

Air out of Atlanta and enjoyed completing word search puzzles. Mrs. McPherson was

preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John C. McPherson; and a brother,

Thomas Degnan, Jr.
